Star Fleet II: Krellan Commander is a space war simulation. Starting with just a single Krellan battlecruiser, as you rise in the game’s seven ranks, you’ll gain more complexity, such as escorts, planetary invasions, and eventually full sector command.
Each mission is a randomly-generated galactic war sandbox. Although there are specific objectives, the manner in which you achieve them is entirely at your discretion. Engage in combat, board enemy ships, and seize control of them. Deploy landing parties and even full invasion forces to conquer planets.
Employ orbital bombardment on cities (with caution, as the aim is to preserve as many cities as possible) while evading defensive fire from technologically advanced planets. All of these options are available to you within this comprehensive experience.
As Commander of a Krellan Battlecruiser, your mission is to explore the star systems of the United Galactic Alliance looking for planets to conquer and Alliance warships to destroy. Your ships are equipped with the latest technology, including phasers, homing torpedoes and deadly obliterator pods. Also at your command are elite shock troops for boarding and capturing enemy vessels, and legions of Krellan warriors for planetary invasions.
Version 1.0 of this game was originally released by Trevor Sorensen and Interstel Corporation in 1989. Then, in 2018, with the developer’s original 486 PC back in action, the author, Trevor Sorensen, resumed development to produce what is now 2.0. Star Fleet II: Krellan Commander will be available on Steam and GOG on November 13th, 2023
