Whitethorn Games and Gamious have announced that Lake: Season’s Greetings, a holiday-themed DLC prequel to the original Lake game, will be available on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), Xbox, and PlayStation 4 and 5 starting November 15, 2023.

The DLC takes place during the 1985 holiday season, one year before the events of the original game, and follows the story of Thomas Weiss, Meredith Weiss’s father and a mail carrier in Providence Oaks. Players will gain insight into the Weiss family dynamics and the town of Providence Oaks from a long-time resident’s perspective. The DLC introduces five new characters and provides more background to some unanswered questions from the original game. Like the base game, Season’s Greetings will focus on slice-of-life themes and relaxing vibes, this time in a cozy holiday setting.

Lake: Season’s Greetings offers the following main features:

  • Take a trip back to 1985 and explore how Providence Oaks looked before Meredith, through the perspective of her father during the winter holiday.
  • Engage in different activities after work, such as spending time with friends, having a cozy night in watching TV, or going out as if it were still 1985.
  • Immerse yourself in a story that branches out and tackles everyday life themes. Just like real life, there are no definitive right or wrong choices.
