Silver Bullet, Review

Silver bullet review cover

Silver Bullet, an arcade shooter developed by 1CC Games and published by Flynn’s Arcade, is coming to Steam and the Nintendo Switch. It will be available starting October 30, 2025. We had the opportunity to play the game on Steam.

Silver Bullet, shoot… but above all, aim

Silver Bullet is an arcade shooter that requires precise aiming. Simply pointing in the direction of your enemies is not enough; you must aim directly at them to hit them.

This greatly increases the difficulty, which is already high for an arcade-style game. There are few lives and little mercy, but plenty of opportunities to make mistakes. To further increase the difficulty, you can’t move while shooting.

However, we have a secret weapon: our dog Silver, which can be thrown at enemies to deal more damage. Using this special attack allows us to earn bonus points.

In Arcade mode, we can progress and unlock new levels. We face bonus levels that allow us to increase our score, as well as bosses that challenge us.

During the runs, we will stop at shops where we can buy power-ups to help us with the next levels.

In the other mode, however, we can play individual levels after unlocking them by completing them in Arcade Mode. This means we can start with a level we like and try to get the highest score.

Old school

Silver Bullet has an old-school feel and alternative modes that unlock as we progress. For example, Terror Blocks mode is a reimagined version of Tetris.

The game can be played with twin stick aiming, an arcade stick, or a mouse and keyboard, and is enjoyable with each. It therefore adapts to all playing styles.

The bosses are varied and each has different attack patterns. They are also very challenging.

Overall, Silver Bullet is a fun arcade shooter with a creepy atmosphere, making it perfect for the Halloween season.
