The setting of Rising Lords is the fictional Northern Island Kingdom of Aubelin, a land that has been without a king for generations. The country is loosely governed by the Council of Counts, leading to discontent among the people and a state of desolation and isolation in the various regions.

The all-new story campaign follows the journey of Tankred of Tannheim, a young boy who must quickly learn to step into his father’s shoes and protect his homeland from bandits and cultists.
