Wild Country gets its first demo on Steam

Newly formed studio Lost Native is delighted to reveal that their debut game, Wild Country, a mischievous cozy competitive strategy title, is having its first public demo at this October’s Steam Next Fest. The demo will run from October 9th – October 16th. Wild Country will be launching on PC and Nintendo Switch in the near future.

The demo contains a bitesize chunk of the main game to give players a taste of what will come at release.

What can you discover in the Wild Country Demo?

  • The opening sequence of the game includes a preview of the story, an introduction to some main characters, and a tutorial of core mechanics.
  • A colorful cast of characters to chat with, help out, and compete against. Some think you’re cool, some are determined to beat you, and others might be from the future.
  • Character customization with a small selection of the available cosmetics. Select and customize from a wild cast of characters, each with their own cheeky personalities.
  • Deck customization with a small selection of cards. There’s a deck for every personality and playstyle, and it’s up to you to find the cards for your winning strategy.

Whether new to card games or a seasoned fan, Wild Country offers endless fun, strategic gameplay, and unpredictable mischief.

Wild Country is a city-building game where players battle each other using cards, blending quick and strategic gameplay! Players can collect cards, construct cities, meet (and fight) with furry NPCs, and challenge their friends in an easy-to-pick-up but hard-to-master proposition.

Outside the competition, players can explore Big Sky Canyon, complete quests and hang out with its residents in a campaign mode. This is the place to unlock cosmetic items to customize the player’s mayoral hopeful, who can be chosen from a variety of humanoid animal characters. After completing the single-player campaign players can compete online in both ranked and unranked matches online.
