Upstream Arcade has released a captivating version of Hellboy that can now be played on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The game, called Hellboy Web of Wyrd, is published by Good Shepherd in collaboration with Dark Horse Comics.
In Hellboy Web of Wyrd, players take on the role of Hellboy himself, voiced by Lance Reddick. Hellboy is sent to the mysterious realm of the Wyrd after an agent from the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.) goes missing while investigating the Butterfly House. Psychic spikes are also discovered around the world, prompting Hellboy to step in as the leading supernatural hunter.
The game stays true to the original comic series created by Mike Mignola, with its art style faithfully representing the source material. Players will be immersed in a modern video game adaptation that takes Hellboy on a journey through the Wyrd.
As they search for the missing colleague, players will engage in intense battles against enormous and fierce monsters using a combination of melee and ranged attacks. They will also have the opportunity to enhance Hellboy’s power, making him a formidable warrior in the world of Hell. This is the most captivating and immersive video game adaptation of Hellboy to date.
